City of Sydney Council
.
ECS Services won the contract to design and build the new CCTV Control room for the City of Sydney Council and we added extra cameras while utilizing some of the existing cameras.
This was a very challenging assignment due to the scale and detail of the project .The project itself included over 200 cameras made up of just about every type of security camera you could imagine. It was not just the size or the extremely technical nature of this project there were challenges that are not typical of a job this size. For example, working at Queen Victoria Building, this is a heritage listed building which makes placement of the cameras and cable management extremely difficult to say the least.
The other major test was designing and building the control room. This housed fourteen monitors and we supplied and install the infrastructure that housed the following components: Servers, Network Video Recorders, encoders & decoders, voice recorders and Mass storage.
This project was very rewarding for the following two reasons. We were able to deliver the project before the due date and all within budget.
The other very satisfying aspect of this job was that the project was nominated and won the ASIAL – 2008 Best Major Security Installation in Australia Award.
Norwest Private Hospital

ECS Services was contracted to perform a wide range of services at Norwest Private Hospital.
We were responsible for installing 19 CCTV cameras with remote management capability and commissioning of the system.
We also supplied and installed access controls providing secure admission to 51 entrances.
ECS Services was also accountable for installation and supply of Medical communications such as nurse call, so the patients can call the nurse with a push of a button.
We also supplied duress system for the nursing staff. So if they were in trouble security would be notified when the nurse simply pressed a button or it would go off automatically if the nurse was knocked over.
Intercom systems were supplied and installed throughout the hospital by our team.
By ECS Services being responsible for the above mentioned jobs it benefited our customer greatly. Because our team was able to run cables for all of the systems at the same time and coupled with systems and controls allowed for a 20% reduction in the time allocated.
Gosford City Council

Gosford CCTV was given the green light after it received partial funding from the Federal Government under the Safer Suburbs national scheme.
The most unique and challenging part about this particular project is that it is a totally wireless system. Although this system is completely wireless, it is very wide reaching spanning from Gosford down to Umina covering approximately a 25KM radius.
This system is monitored by the Gosford and Wyong Police stations.
We achieved a great result for our client by utilizing the best products available such as the latest equipment from Pelco.
Many security companies might have struggled with this job due to the fact that it was so heavily reliant on IT. While the job was complex we did not struggle due to in house IT support.
Campbelltown Private Hospital

This job was made easy for the principal contractor due to the fact that ECS Services were able to control and manage quite a few separate tasks as listed below.
• CCTV
• Security and access control
• Duress alarm
• Intercom System
Due to our process and controls used by our Project Manager the job ran smooth and on time.
UWS Parramatta Campus

On this project ECS Services was contracted to provide audio visual solutions for lecture rooms. Audio teaching aids have come a long way since the days of the overhead projector.
We supplied and installed Data projectors and interactive white boards. These devices gave the lecturer the ability to control the pc directly onto the projection surface.
ECS Services also supplied and installed document cameras allowing the lecturer to enlarge a page from a text book and have it come through the projector so that all students can view without leaving their seats.
We also used a Crestron and Concept security systems to integrate all the different technologies. For example the lecturer could select the visual audio source and was displayed by simply using a remote. But unlike other remotes this unit would send a series of commands all at the same time i.e. turn on the projector, drop the motorised screen and turn on the audio amplifier all at the same time with one button.
Another very interesting part of this project was that usually our security is aimed at protecting a whole building. However; as well as securing the building we also implemented security to protect the audio visual equipment. So if a piece of equipment was tampered with it would trigger an alarm that is monitored 24hrs a day.
